Don't Sleep on the deals

I stopped by Rainbow just to see what way new. I honestly stopped shopping there because i was tired of looking like the rest of the chicks in the city and the quality of the products had deminished over the years. The funny thi.g is me and my bestie would always go together, not this time, and go fiqure she was in a rainbow on the other side of town at the exact time i decided to stop in. Tell me thats not true friendship! She was calling me as i was texting her, ha! Anyway, while there i peeped out the shoes  which i wad impressed at the selection! I brought these for $24.99 (see pic). They are stylish, comfy and you cant beat that price! These wedged sneakers are a hot trend and many high end designers are at the drawing board pushing them out. I priced the same design at Bakers for $70.  I feel great about this buy and i know now to check in every now and then at rainbow so that I'm not sleeping on the high end design at department store prices!

Foundation Tips and Tricks

As an African American Woman I understand how difficult it is to to find foundation that FITS. I recently shopped for foundation and after visiting serveral places I found a great product that works well with my skin and skin tone. Lets start there, You must know your skin. What I mean when I say that is know your skin type, you don't want to purchase an oil based foundation if you have oilly skin. Talk about a waste of money. Make sure you let the cosmetic consultant know that before they begin to show and apply make-up. Truely identify your skin tone, women of African decent are usually identified as having DEEP, DARK, MEDIUM or FAIR skin. Which one do you fit in? Now Identify your undertone, I have red undertones ( thats my Native american traits, LOL). Then you want to assess your skin for splotchy redness, dark spots hyperpigmentation etc. Now that your familiar with your skin and know what your looking for well, go, Shop! Remember these four things while playing in the make up:
1. Address dark spots with a concealer
2. Skin Type matters- If you have regular breakouts, go for something oil free and if your skin is dry, go for something with lots of moisture!
3. Try the foundation first- It's like buying shoes you don't want to get home and it doesnt fit. Places like MAC and Sephora have testers and consultants to assit you with this major life decision, LOL!
4. Become a Mixologist- If you cant find one that works take the few that fit and apply them to make a picure perfect canvase!
I hope these tips help you find your foundation. When you do take a picture and tweet us @RimaniCllection We'd Love to see you in your new Foundation!

10 Instant Booty Boosters

So this will be the sexiest top ten list yet to hit the Rimani Collection Blog! wear telling you how to make your bum look its best. Did you know your butt is just like your face? What I mean is there are hair follicles and lots of oil on the skin. If you work out be sure to shower and use an antibacterial wash or acne wash to avoid a lumpy bumpy butt. Pretty much anything that is safe for your face is safe for your butt. Benzyl peroxide will bleach your garments so let your ass dry before dressing! Okay, on to the good stuff! These ten instant boosters are sure to add to your silhouette.

1. Wear the right Pants to accentuate our ass. Pant with narrow legs and more fitted at the bum are sure to do the trick.

2. Try Indigo Jeans! Darker Rinse jeans make your butt look tighter. Thicker weaves shape your bottom.

3. Low rise jeans are for smaller butts but a waist band right at the navel will flatter a larger but making it look round.

4. Oversized pockets make the ass look bigger and smaller pockets do the opposite. Choose pockets that sit lower so that the butt looks higher.

5. See a tailor and get yours cut to fit your shape, get at least two pair.

6. Sharpen your pencil skirt! Leave some room in that pencil it makes your butt seem bigger. A too tight pencil will flatten the bum. You can create a curve by allowing a tailor to nip the center seam right under your tush.

7. I love shimmer but stay away from it around the butt Shimmer draws attention to an area and shows imperfections.

8. I love heels and this is exactly why I wear them. Going higher puts an arch in your back and makes your butt sit higher and look perkier!

9. Beware of Leggings! Thin fabrics reveal dimples especially in sunlight, even on a fit bum.

10. SPANX! Wear them to avoid jiggle and dont underestimate the power of the Spanx

Too REALLY make that booty pop here are six extra special tips and tricks.

Squats are essential!

1. Stand with your feet shoulder-with apart

2. Then lower yourself to the ground as though you are about to sit down

3. Squeeze your glutes together and slowly lift yourself back to a standing position

4. Repeat 10 to 20 times.

Cycle climb at home or at the gym! Get the most out of the Spinning bike; do stand climbing with your hands at the ends of the handlebars and your hips pull all the way back above the saddle. Don’t move too much it builds resistance.

Instead of using the elevator, take the stairs! And if you are really trying to lift your butt skip every other step. Do three steps per leg.

Remember the Curtsy? Yes, that helps to lift the butt because curtsies target the area right underneath the ass cheeks. Do this 10 to 20 times on each side.

The treadmill is great during rainy days but the best run is in the great outdoors. When the ground is moving under you, you are not working the in back as much as those in front. Remember to squeeze and engage those muscles on your runs and walks.

You can work those muscles anytime not just while working out. If you’re sitting at a red light flex the left cheek then the right cheek do this until the light changes.

Hope this helps try these tips for a month then post your before and after pictures to www.facebook.com/rimanicollection
